RecoverEase does not collect personal data unless it is necessary to provide essential functionality. We access your device storage only with your explicit permission and solely for operations like scanning for recoverable items, previewing, and restoring files. All access remains local to your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

When issues arise, we may collect anonymous crash logs or diagnostics to help improve stability. These reports never include data that could personally identify you.

a. Automatically Collected Data

When using RecoverEase, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage data to help us improve the app:

  • • Device Information: Such as device brand, model, OS version, advertising ID, language, screen size, RAM, and storage capacity.
  • • Usage Data: Including app interactions, crash logs, and which features are used.
  • • Tracking Information: IP address, cookies, and referral URLs for attribution purposes (e.g., via AppsFlyer).
  • • Clipboard Access: Some third-party SDKs may technically access clipboard contents, but we do not collect or store this data.

  • • Permission-Based Data: With your consent, we may scan your device storage to identify and locate recoverable photos, videos, audio, and other files, and allow you to preview and restore them locally.

  • • To resolve bugs and offer technical support.
  • • To display non-personalized or consent-based personalized ads.
  • • To analyze usage and improve app performance.

  • • Trusted Service Providers: We may work with third parties like AppsFlyer, Firebase, or AdMob to deliver analytics or advertising services. These partners only receive the information required to operate their services securely.

  • • Business Transfers: If RecoverEase is ever acquired or merged, user data may be part of the transfer.

Why Full Storage Access Matters

RecoverEase requires full file access to deliver its core features. Without this, Android's default access frameworks (like SAF or MediaStore) would restrict visibility to certain media locations and limit our ability to detect recoverable items and restore them reliably. Full access enables a more complete and efficient recovery experience.

If you reside in the EU or California, you're protected by GDPR and CCPA:

  • • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
  • • You can opt out of analytics or advertising data use.
  • • We never sell your personal data.
